With both staff and Board members on hand, the Boston Women’s Fund opened its doors to donors and supporters of the foundation and representatives from the majority of the Fund’s grantee organizations, such as Chelsea Collaborative, Neighbor to Neighbor, Gedakina, Centro Presente, WILD, Reflect and Strengthen, Genki Spark, Homes for Families, and Oíste, as well as other prominent members of the philanthropic and grassroots communities.

“Everyone enjoyed a wonderful afternoon of bringing together a cross-section of folks who, regardless of their racial, social or economic background, all share the same values and mission—strengthening the leadership of women and girls while working to change the dynamics of power and privilege in our society,” stated Executive Director, Josefina Vázquez. “As a leader in this field, we at the Boston Women’s Fund look forward to many more collaborations and celebrations such as this,” Vázquez continued.

Joyce King, Chair of the Boston Women’s Fund Board of Directors noted, “The Boston Women’s Fund is really such an important part of our area’s greater grassroots community—the success of this open house illustrates that.”  King continued, “I am truly proud to serve as Chair of the Board for this incredible organization.”
